Asakura Robinson Company provided master plan design and documentation services for the replacement Kendall Neighborhood Library & Community Center. Located in a park-like setting along the banks of Buﬀalo Bayou, Kendall is situated within Houston’s Energy Corridor and beneﬁts from its proximity to a major hike and bike trail. Designed to LEED Silver standards, landscape design within the 2.8-acre site includes the following aspects: low water and nave planting; rainwater harvesting; underground stormwater detention in the parking lot; preservation of existing forested areas; added enhancements to nave ecosystems; and access and connectivity trails to the Terry Hershey Park Trail System. Completion date: May, 2010.
