University of Houston “Cullen Green”

As part of the University of Houston’s “Framework” master plan, Asakura Robinson Company worked with W.O. Neuhaus Architects to redesign the Cullen Green area of the urban campus. Featuring the closure of Cullen Boulevard to traffic, the concept demonstrates a truly pedestrian environment which will be created throughout the inner campus creating diverse outdoor opportunities for students, faculty and visitors. The campus will become integrated with the surrounding Third Ward neighborhood, with pedestrian / bicyclist connectivity and a “park-like feel” becoming the focus.
