Mandell Park, situated in Houston’s Montrose District, is an inspiring success story of how a community can come together in support of great public spaces. City Gardens

Asakura Robinson Company Principal, Keiji Asakura, presented the idea of installing a container garden outside the City of Houston’s PWE building in the heart of downtown. A team of eager City staff, non-profit organizations and volunteers soon stepped up to turn the project from a dream into reality in less than a month. Thirty eight 36” containers were donated along with potting soil, vegetables and other edible plants.
