Federal Reserve Bank Green Roof

Michael Graves’ arousing post-modern Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch building was completed in 2005. Asakura Robinson Company was recently selected to provide innovative, artful and sustainable design for a highly visible 3,000 SF outdoor terrace. The terrace is located at the axis of the facility’s second level board room, meeting rooms and dining rooms. WR Sage

WR Sage West is a 22-story high-rise apartment building located in the Houston Uptown district near the Galleria shopping center. Asakura Robinson Company worked closely with the architect (Mitchell Carlson Stone, Inc.) on the 6th floor roof top outdoor space which includes swimming pool and spa, sun decks, shade structure and outdoor kitchen as well as lighting to promote night time usage. In addition, due to the harsh Houston summer environment, ARC was asked to develop a plant palette that ensures the plants thrive with minimal maintenance. Drip irrigation will be provide to reduce water consumption and meet LEED Certified standards. Carnegie Vanguard High School

Carnegie High School is the only Vanguard Program high school in Houston ISD. Carnegie, housing around 600 students, is moving to the centrally located Fourth Ward near Downtown Houston. Parents, staff members, and students provided input for the design of the new CVHS campus. The building committee lobbied for a central courtyard, which is a part of the school’s culture. Other priorities include LEED certification, adding more space for theater and fine arts and preserving green space.
