Jessica Krug serves as Principal QA/QC in Asakura Robinson’s Houston design studio with over a decade of industry experience. She began her career in Chile working as a designer at a residential architecture firm, before moving to the United States in 2005 and joining Asakura Robinson. As a principal and project manager, Jessica oversees management, coordination, and quality for a range of design projects from urban parks and open spaces to streetscapes, civic, academic, and institutional projects.

Jessica takes pride in skillfully leading and managing complex projects from design through construction with efficiency, accuracy, and is always mindful of budget and team coordination. She is knowledgeable in design best practices and skilled at navigating the codes, standards, changing schedules, and budgets that often arise in projects.

In mid-2009 she became LEED Accredited and has incorporated sustainable design solutions into high-performance landscape designs. Her broad experience brings a sustainability focus to her projects that helps guide material selection and accentuates a site’s natural features. She has a successful track record of implementing sustainable landscape features such as bioretention systems, porous pavements, water harvesting for re-use, and habitat creation.
